A 43-year-old man has been killed in a workplace accident at the Bell Bay industrial estate.

The accident occurred yesterday at Bis Industries, which provides logistical support to the nearby Temco smelter.
It is believed the man died after being hit by sheet metal.
The man, believed to be from the Launceston region, was working as a subcontractor for Bis Industries.
The accident occurred in the early afternoon and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident was Tasmania's sixth workplace death since May last year.
Constable Ashley Poore, of George Town police, said there were no eye witnesses to the accident.
The George Town Fire Brigade and the State Emergency Service also attended the scene.
Bis Industries, which has its head office in Perth, Western Australia, was not commenting yesterday.
The company provides logistical support and transport services to large mining and industrial operators.
Workplace Standards is investigating the incident and police are preparing a report for the coroner.
