Hobart's Harry Bourchier took his match with Launceston coach James Bolzonello to three sets, winning 2-6 6-3 6-3.
The finish follows a successful season so far for the 14-year-old, which includes a Pardey Shield win and a clean sweep of titles at the aged tennis championships, both held in Launceston in September.
Bourchier's performance in state and national events has seen his Australian ranking move up more than 100 places this year.
Alyssa Hibberd, of Hobart, dominated the women's draw again this year, winning the women's open for the second time in a row.
She convincingly beat fellow rising tennis star Janaya Smith in two sets, 6-2 6-1.
Hibberd also won the women's doubles with partner Chantel Jamieson 6-3 6-0, beating Phoebe Davis and Annie Francis.
Hibberd, 18, has won almost every state tournament entered this year and is ranked 51 in Australia.
Northern Tasmanian players failed to make much of a dent in the singles competition, though Launceston duo Rory De Boer and Tom Wigan won the men's doubles 6-4 7-6 over fellow Launceston pair Jeff Speer and Ben Osborne.
The classic saw 105 competitors play in open and junior competition at three Launceston venues during the weekend.
Tournament director Nick Hudson said there had been a record number of entrants in the event.
