Top day for graduates

More than 200 robed University of Tasmania graduates celebrated years of hard study at a ceremony at Launceston's Albert Hall today.

With a tip of a mortarboard and a shake of Chancellor Damian Bugg's hand, they were transformed from students to graduates.

In all, 398 students graduated, including Leo Cooper-White who was awarded a posthumous associate degree, accepted by his sister Sarah.
