I WAS shopping in a
hardware store recently in
the garden section, when I
slipped and fell.
It was a painful fall where I
was almost knocked
unconscious and with my
right leg twisted under my
body.
Two men standing nearby
very quickly came to my aid
and managed to lift me back
to my feet. The pain was
excruciating and thankfully a
female staff member
brought a seat for me as I
was unable to stand.
It took some considerable
time for me to regain my
senses, during which time
the two gents had moved
away and I never got the
chance to express my
appreciation to them.
Two of the female staff
members were also very
kind and eventually I was
able to move to my car with
my wife and the walking
stick they had provided.
During all this hassle I don’t
recall offering my thanks to
them either.
If I could do this through
your newspaper I’d be
grateful.

Left and far-Left
THE problem with the
Labor-Green accord is that
the left hand does not know
what the far-left hand is
doing.
