Triabunna and Swansea fire brigades were called to the Charles Street residence about 8.45pm yesterday and found the home fully alight.
All four occupants were out of the residence by the time emergency services arrived. One person suffered smoke inhalation and was taken to hospital.
Damage to the property is estimated to be in the vicinity of $450,000.
Fire service investigators determined the cause of the fire to be accidental as a result of a malfunction in a power board.
