2. Lay bricks for base.

3. Pour another slab on top of the brick base.

Lay base of oven with special bricks and refractory mortar.

5. Build oven structure (bricks) over the oven base. For archways, Ms Harper built wooden frames as a guide.

6. Insulate the oven with a layer of mortar, aluminium foil, insulation batts and chicken wire to hold it in place, followed by another layer of mortar to finish.

7. Install chimney - to control excess smoke.
