A 35-year-old East Devonport woman has pleaded not guilty in the Launceston Magistrates Court this morning to smuggling a proscribed item into Ashley Youth Detention Centre.

Amanda Lea Haywood also pleaded not guilty to procuring a child to be involved in making child exploitation material.
The alleged offences took place between November 20 and December 9 last year.
She was bailed to reappear in court for mention on November 17, and for hearing on December 16.
