A woman has died in hospital after being hit by a Toyota Hilux while walking in Sydney's eastern suburbs.

The 63-year-old woman was taken to St Vincent's Hospital in a critical condition after being struck by the ute in Clovelly on Friday afternoon.
She died in hospital on Saturday shortly before 1pm.
The male driver, 40, was taken to Prince of Wales Hospital for mandatory testing, NSW Police said.
A crime scene was established by Eastern Beaches police, and an investigation has been launched by the Crash Unit.
Police have asked for anybody with information or dash cam footage to come forward.
