Tasmania Police confirmed on Wednesday afternoon that a man had died after an excavator rollover on a rail line at Evandale.

Police and emergency services were called to the scene about 10.40am.
Upon arrival, a man was located trapped by an excavator.
He died at the scene.
Another man received non-life threatening injuries in the incident and was taken to the Launceston General Hospital as a precaution.
WorkSafe Tasmania is investigating the incident and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
Roadblocks remain in place at Evandale Road and Mill Road and at Leighlands Road.
Motorists are advised to avoid the immediate area to facilitate the safe movement of emergency service vehicles.
