Tasmanian Police intercepted two men riding unregistered dirt bikes in Mayfield on Saturday morning at about 9.40am.

One man avoided capture by police, while the other was caught and found in possession of a sawn-off shotgun.
The rider was arrested at the scene and later charged with several matters relating to illegal firearms.
The rider will reappear in court at 2.15pm today.
Police are calling for anyone with information or dashcam footage of the two riders to contact them on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or crimestopperstas.com.au.
