Launceston's Rebecca Van Asch had a big role in the significant medal haul with roles in the state's solitary gold medal alongside Jessica McMullen and Debbie Lee in the ladies triples. Van Asch partnered with Alison Venn in the ladies pairs for a silver, which the Commonwealth Games representative backed up in the ladies champion of champions event.
The gold medal occurred on the opening day of the tournament as the Tasmania trifecta went through undefeated in sectionals as they accounted for Queensland and South Australia.
They faced an in-form Western Australia but the Australian Jackaroo credited her teammates for the 17-12 win in the final to secure the ultimate prize.
"I thought in particular that Deb was our best on ground out there tonight, she was solid from start to finish, and Jess has led well for us the whole way through," she said.
Van Asch's Tasmania Trident teammates Mark Nitz and Taelyn Male partnered up for a well-deserved bronze medal finish in the men's pairs.
A sibling combination of Jorja and Isaac Maughan took Tasmania all the way to the final of the mixed pairs event but were beat by a strong Victorian outfit. Jacob Brown finished second in the men's singles with a 25-11 loss to Blake Nairn.
