"Unions are ramping up their campaign and have launched TV ads in key marginal seats including Bass and Braddon, warning voters that Scott Morrison isn't being honest with them about his plans to reintroduce legislation that will remove rights from workers and put even further downward pressure on wages, if re-elected," Unions Tasmania secretary Jessica Munday said.
"Last week, the Prime Minister left the door open to further industrial relations changes that will make it harder for workers to win the wage rises they need to keep pace with rising living costs.
"Unions Tasmania has been a vocal critic of the Morrison Government's lack of action on wage growth and the job security crisis, so to hear that instead of doing anything about these important issues, he is considering reviving nasty elements of his workplace law changes that he couldn't get through last year is a kick in the teeth for Tasmanian workers.
"The legacy of Scott Morrison's government is casualisation, stagnant wages, and rising living costs.
"Scott Morrison should be considering what he needs to do to get wages moving and deliver better job security to Tasmanians, but he's not and that's an indictment on him and his government."
Liberal Senator and Tasmanian campaign spokeswoman Claire Chandler said it was no surprise unions were campaigning for their "Labor mates".
"We have taken real action on the cost of living by cutting taxes, providing $250 support payments for pensioners and cutting the price of fuel," Senator Chandler said.
The ACTU ads say Australia is in a cost of living crisis and real wages flatlined before going backwards.
