A 12-goal opening term started things off with a bang and Mitch Thorp's men took it from there, with the Tigers only kicking five more goals across the three terms.
The win was a pleasing one for the Launceston leader.
"It was a really high standard of footy, the first quarter was goal for goal and they're a really good team so we are rapt to get a win and play the brand that we did," Thorp said.
"It was as tough of a performance as I've seen from our group for a little while, a number of guys putting their bodies in vulnerable positions - Casey Brown in particular and Brodie Palfreyman."
Tasmanian State League life member Jay Blackberry kicked three in the win, while the returning Jackson Thurlow hit the scoreboard early and kicked two, as did Jake Hinds, Jake Smith, Brendan Taylor and Ryan Tyrrell.
Add Josh Woolley, Josiah Burling and Jobi Harper into the mix and the Blues had nine individual goalkickers and a happy coach.
"Our pressure early, particularly in the first half, was high and we were able to get the ball back in our half of the ground and get some repeat entries," he said.
"We had a number of avenues to goal which was really pleasing but it was a number of our younger players like Casey Brown, Jack Tuthill and Jayden Hinds that were strong over four quarters."
However, Thorp's strongest praise was saved for Fletcher Seymour.
The Blues' midfield bull had 31 disposals - 18 of which were contested - in a game where the side's next-best performer had 20 touches.
"He's still underrated in the competition, he just keeps putting his head over the ball and he barely gets knocked off it," Thorp said.
"He's a leader, someone that I've got a really strong personal relationship with and when the game gets tough, he's the one that wills the team over the line."
The win wasn't all butterflies and rainbows for the Blues however, with second-gamer Sam Cowley stretchered off the ground.
The Blues' number 53 was knocked unconscious in a tackle by Tigers captain Lachie Clifford, stopping play for several minutes.
Thorp described him as "fully with it and functioning" post-game, while young tall Tiernan McCormack didn't play out the whole game either, leaving Launceston with another injury worry ahead of the side's North Launceston battle.
Edward Cole was the Tigers' best in defeat, while recruit Jack Tomkinson and Jordan Lane were also strong.
Lane kicked two majors, as did Kieran Lovell and Connor Salter while William Campbell, Tyler Carter, Cole and Marcus Gardner slotted one.
The round's Southern derby between North Hobart and Glenorchy saw the Demons emerge comfortable winners, 24.12 (156) to 5.11 (41), with three players kicking four goals.
