Run by the Association of Ukrainians in Tasmania the rally allowed those impacted by the war to gather, with Association committee member Marina Ladaniwskyj saying it was about showing support.
"This has been our second rally in Launceston and it was about galvanising the community and bringing everyone together to support Ukraine," she said.
"My father is Ukrainian and his parents came out here after WWII as displaced people. We feel very sad and cannot imagine how those going through it are feeling at the moment.
"In terms of what people in Tasmania can do to help it's coming to events, talking to friends and family about what is going on, trying to explain that this is a war and that Putin is trying to strip away the identity of Ukrainian people."
Those in attendance spoke of their experiences of the war in having family and loved ones become isolated, attacked and killed since the invasion began in February.
Owner and Director of Richardson's Harley Davidson Simon Hrycyszyn partnered with the association to hold the rally.
Mr Hrycyszyn 's father was born in a small agrarian town in Ukraine before immigrating to Tasmania after WWII, and he spoke of his support to those in Ukraine.
Ms Ladaniwsky said anyone in the Tasmanian community affected by the war in Ukraine can contact them directly on the association's Facebook page.
