Angela Merriott and her seven year old daughter Annika have moved from Alberta, Canada to be with Angela's partner who lives in Launceston.
For the past six weeks have been exploring Tasmania and uploading videos and pictures to their Tik Tok and Instagram accounts, where thousands of followers have seen them enjoy all that Tasmania has to offer.
Mrs Merriott said that she loves filming their experiences of all the differences between Tasmania and Canada, in terms of nature, food and even words and phrases.
"There are so many words and phrases that we are trying to get out heads around," she said.
"Everyone here shortens words like for example 'arvo' and I remember thinking what does that mean and the same with the bottle shop, I had no idea so it's been funny trying to figure out what all these words mean."
Ms Merriott and her daughter have plans to make more videos trying Australian foods.
"We have bought a jar of Vegemite, but we haven't tried it yet," she said.
"We have tried Cheezels and other snacks, but we were so confused by boxed milk. Seeing a large part of the aisle filled with milk that wasn't in the fridge was so bizarre.
"Coffee culture is such a big thing here too, coffee back in Canada is just plain black, drip coffee."
