It comes as many teams are battling with COVID-enforced omissions heading into round two, with the league already in a test of depth.
Boasting the healthiest percentage coming out of round one, Bulldogs coach Anthony Taylor said his squad was well aware of the need to stay grounded.
"We're certainly pleased with the brand of footy that we played in round one," he said.
"We've got a block of three games coming up against Longford, Bracknell and Rocherlea, probably the yardsticks of the competition so we're certainly going to gave a good idea of where we're at."
Meanwhile, Beau Thorp's Longford is eyeing the Bulldogs' fixture to be their opening win of the season.
"We're looking to quickly adapt against South Launceston, they're a pretty professional outfit over the last couple of years, we've had a bit of a rivalry with two strong sides," he said.
"Both clubs have a healthy respect for each other so I am expecting a pretty fierce contest."
Bridgenorth will face a stern test against Bracknell as they travel to the Redlegs' home ground looking for their second win in as many weeks.

The Parrots sailed past Longford in the dying stages of the last round to kickstart their campaign and Arnie Donnellan is the only change from that winning side.
"Obviously Bracknell are the reigning premiers and benchmark of the competition so this week is a huge challenge for us [but] we just want to keep improving and play our way," Parrots' coach Philip Lethborg said.
The Redlegs are getting some significant inclusions with Glenn Dawson beefing up a side that claimed a round one victory over George Town.
"This week will be a little bit different, Bridgenorth are no doubt up and about after their win against Longford so we won't be taking them lightly by any means," Bracknell coach Corry Goodluck, who will miss this week, said.
Hillwood enters league action targeting their first win with an influx of debutants for the Sharks expected thanks to their off-season recruiting after enjoying the opening round bye.
After a tough season last year, coach Jake Pearce is excited to see what the new-look Sharks can do against Scottsdale.
"We got a look at all the other sides and from what we've seen it is going to be pretty close competition which is really exciting," he said.
"We've got maybe eight or nine new players playing this year which is really exciting."
Rocherlea and George Town are both vying for their first points of the season when they meet at the former's home ground on Saturday.
The Tigers were taken down to the wire by Scottsdale while the Saints were ultimately overpowered by Bracknell despite a valiant first-half effort against the reigning premiers.
"We were within a kick with a minute to go [last week] so we weren't out of it but the result didn't fall our way ... we're back at home this week and the group is pretty excited," Tigers coach Josh Ponting said.
"We're expecting a really good contest and we're looking forward to it."
The Saints have been on the wrong side of the ledger in the past couple of seasons against the Tigers and are hoping to turn it around this weekend.
"They probably gave us our two biggest defeats last year so we had a bit of a chat about it this week and we figured out it's been at least 10 years since we won at Rocherlea so bit of drought there," Saints co-coach Adam Zanevra said.
"[But round one] give us a fair bit of confidence knowing that we can compete with these top sides."
Round two action plays out across the league on April 9.
