The line item was one of several Tasmanian-specific budget items contained in the government's chief fiscal document, handed down on Tuesday night.
Included in the 2022-23 budget was big spending on road projects and cost of living measures, including an additional tax offset and a temporary reduction in the fuel excise.
For Tasmania, the government will provide $639.9 million over 2022-23 to fund priority road and rail projects in Tasmania.
There will be $100 million funnelled towards the Great Eastern Drive to provide for improvements on the Tasman Highway and $56 million will be provided for upgrades to the Sideling.
The Tasmanian Freight Rail Revitalisation Program will receive $96 million and $24 million will be allocated for the Bell Bay line reconnection to Bell Bay Wharf.
There will be $336 million for the second stage of the Tasmanian Northern Roads Package, which involves works on the Batman Highway, west of Batman Bridge.
The Don Irrigation Scheme project will receive $13.7 million in funding from the National Water Grid Fund.
In the health portfolio, Tasmania will receive $556.9 million for hospital services, $8.3 million towards public health services, and $14.9 million for COVID-19 public health responses.
The state received $57.5 million for COVID-19 health responses in the 2021-22 budget.
There will be $35.1 million provided over the next financial year towards affordable housing.
The government will provide $9.3 million over two years towards Energising Tasmania - a fee-free training program to encourage Tasmanians to develop skills needed for the energy sector.
