The coronavirus' impact on player availability meant the South Hobart v Launceston City game was postponed. The game is likely to be played later in the season.
Football Tasmania confirmed the change and expected the postponed game to be part of the COVID-19 catch-up round the organisation had worked into the season fixture as a safeguard measure.
"In preparing for the season we anticipated that COVID would have an impact throughout the year, so we have built in a number of safeguards to our fixture list and season rules," Football Tasmania chief executive ` said.
"This process involved consultation with clubs as well as with other Member Federations who have already had matches impacted by COVID.
"In order to protect the integrity of higher level competitions including the NPL and WSL, we have implemented conditions which dictate whether a match will be postponed, as it has been this weekend.
"[We] will continue to keep a close eye on player availability and how it impacts fixtures."
Riverside Olympic v Ulverstone SC was also postponed in the Northern Championship and Northern Championship 1 competitions this weekend due to the impact of COVID-19.
