Represented by Rebecca Van Asch, Taelyn Male and Mark Nitz while being coached by Mark Strochnetter, the Tridents won their final game of the day - which happened to be the one televised on Kayo, Fox and Sky Sports - defeating the Melbourne Pulse 6-3, 9-5.
Speaking on the broadcast, Nitz said the team had eased themselves into the competition.
"Thankfully Bec's played a couple of BPLs before, but Taelyn and I and Strochy, we're all new to it [and] we are learning as we go," he said.
"We've tried a few combinations in the earlier rounds that haven't worked out but it does seem as though Bec leading one set, Taelyn leading one set and me skipping both sets is working out for us."
The Tridents joined the league for the 14th edition of the BPL competition, which is billed as a bowls version of twenty-20 cricket and sees games last under an hour on average with each player to bowl a minimum of nine bowls in the two sets consisting of five ends.
If the competing teams can't be split, a tiebreaker will be played, while teams also have a powerplay at a nominated end and a 30-second shot clock to take their bowl.
The team finished Monday night's session with a win and a loss, making history against the Tweed Head Ospreays, the tournament's reigning premiers.
The Tridents defeated the Ospreays 7-3, 7-4. They then started Tuesday with a 7-3, 9-1 loss to the Gold Coast Hawks, who comfortably have the best score differential in the competition, before going down in a tiebreak to the Adelaide Pioneers.
The home side, the Moama Streamers, defeated the Tridents 6-3, 9-4, while Melbourne Extreme handed the debutants a 6-1, 10-1 defeat.
"We're not expecting to win the comp, we are hoping we will not finish last but someone will win it and someone will finish last, if we're in one of those positions, so be it," Nitz added.
"We are just having a blast being here."
