The Silverdome will host the JackJumpers and the visiting New Zealand Breakers on March 5 for Northern Tasmania's first official NBL game with the new franchise.
The JackJumpers played across the North-West Coast and Elphin Sports Centre as part of the NBL Blitz pre-season tournament but this represents the first NBL game.
Prior to holding the fixture, the Silverdome has had to improve their scoring system and lighting to be able to be an NBL standard stadium.
The Launceston fixture had previously not been fixtured as the JackJumpers waited for the upgrades at the Silverdome but had been hopeful that the game would been in February or March.
"We're absolutely delighted to confirm our first game in Launceston and the team is really looking forward to playing in front of the passionate basketball community in the state's North" JackJumpers chief executive Simon Brookhouse said.
The Round 14-15 fixtures will represent the league's Indigenous Rounds, as the competition pays respect and celebrates Australia's Indigenous community.
Brookhouse confirmed that the JackJumpers would wear a special jersey to pay respect to the Tasmanian Indigenous culture during these rounds.
"We look forward to recognising and celebrating Tasmanian aboriginal culture as part of our game presentation and wearing the jersey that is inspired by aboriginal rock carvings on Tasmania's West Coast" Brookhouse said.
Also announced was a JackJumpers home game against the Illawarra Hawks in Hobart which will act as a replacement game for the postponed Round 6 game, originally scheduled for the Sydney Kings.
Existing tickets for the original Round 6 game will be valid for the new game on March 13.
