Inspired by the likes of The Woman in the Window and The Girl on the Train, the eight-part dark comedy series follows Anna (played by Kristen Bell of The Good Place) as she delves deeper and deeper into a mystery that may or may not be real.

Living alone in the suburbs with something of a drinking problem, Anna is immediately intrigued by the father and daughter who move in across the street. They bond over similar tragedies in their history, but when another woman arrives on the scene Anna thinks something is awry.

The episodes are only 20 to 30 minutes long, so this one is easy to binge in a day or two.

The tone is hard to nail down at first, because while it does have some dialogue or particular plot points that point to its absurdity, it is delivered in such a standard, straightforward way that it's easy to forget the show is a satire.

The slightly creepy instrumental rendition of Rain Rain Go Away that plays over the opening title card is a special little treat.

You've probably heard about Pam and Tommy the show, and you've almost definitely heard about Pam and Tommy the people.

The new biographical comedy series on Disney+, through its Star channel, chronicles the relationship of blonde bombshell Pamela Anderson and Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee, and the release of their sex tape.

Lily James (Baby Driver) and Bucky Barnes himself, Sebastian Stan, are transformed into the '90s power couple with make-up, hair and prosthetics that just has to be seen.

Both are excellent actors and slip seamlessly into roles most of their viewers will be super familiar with.

Pam and Tommy also has the bonus of being directed by the very talented I, Tonya and Cruella director Craig Gillespie, among others (including Lake Bell, who directed the underrated In a World).

Even though this one is on Disney+ it is most certainly not for the kiddies - nudity, language, drug use and more is all on show.
