Marsh has been in doubt for the decider since suffering a slight hamstring injury during the side's 48-run win over the Sydney Sixers last week.

Scans cleared Marsh of serious damage, and the 30-year-old is desperate to prove his fitness.

Scorchers coach Adam Voges says Marsh's prospects are looking good.

"Mitch is going well," Voges said.

"The scans the other day showed no real major injury, which was good news.

"Mitch had a bit of a run around today and a gym session and looked like he was moving pretty well.

"We'll have another top-up training session, our last training session, tomorrow night.

"So we'll put him through his paces a little bit again and then make a final call, but all looking pretty positive at this stage."

Marsh has been in stunning form this season, averaging 68.4 to go with a strike rate of 147.

His bowling has also been a handy weapon, but it remains to be seen whether the hamstring injury will limit him to a batting-only role.

The Scorchers' ability to make the final has been remarkable given they have played their entire season bar one game away from home.

Voges said the Scorchers had decided to nominate Marvel Stadium as their home venue during the finals given their good form there in recent years.

"I think we've played more at Marvel than what we have at home the last couple of years," Voges said.

"The guys have really started to understand the wicket itself, the dimensions of the ground, and just the way to play it."
