The NBL side, which will play its first game since New Year's Day, has had its past five matches postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Magette and his teammates take on finals contender South East Melbourne Phoenix at Derwent Entertainment Centre with tip-off at 3pm.
"It's been a crazy couple of weeks for our whole team," Magette said.
"I think just about everybody was in isolation at one point. But we're thankful to be healthy for the most part and back together and working as a team again."
He said the JackJumpers had a full squad to draw on for Sunday's game.
"As far as I know, we're all hands on deck for Sunday," he said.
"It's probably a blessing in disguise to have these last few games pushed back and give us a few extra days to prepare and get our lungs back and get that continuity and chemistry we're building and pick up where we left off."
Magette said he was aware other NBL teams had struggled when they had returned from a COVID-enforced break.
"It's been a good wake up call for us and something we're taking hard and we'll be ready for," he said.
The point guard opened up about his own experience of returning to training after having the virus.
"The first day back about 10 jump shots in, I was feeling effects and felt how the virus affected me," he said.
"I think it hits everyone a little bit different. But the first day back - it was a very, very light day, but I was still feeling the effects of it.
"Not only the virus, but then however long the virus takes to clear, and then you're sitting at your house for seven days unable to do a lot of cardio work.
"So it's definitely a challenge. But it's kind of a build up throughout the week of being able to add more and more load to our bodies. And get us back into that mid-season form we were in."
The JackJumpers, who have played seven games, are sitting ninth on the table with two wins and five losses.
The Phoenix are fourth with three victories and two defeats.
