After Eight patients and two staff members tested positive for COVID-19 at the Mersey Community Hospital, State Health Commander Kathrine Morgan-Wicks said the Hospital had moved to level three of its COVID-19 management escalation plan.
"This is required to assist with management of COVID-19 inpatients at the Mersey, as well as part of the response to an outbreak currently being managed on one of the hospital's wards," she said.
Across the state, a third person is being treated in intensive care, with the total number of people being treated in hospital rising to 31.
The Department of Health has advised 14 patients are being treated for COVID, while the remaining 17 are being treated for unrelated conditions.
The total number of COVID cases in the state has declined from 6323 to 6127, while new cases also fell with 927 cases recorded.
People under observation in the COVID@home program rose to 399 from 388, while people in the state's community case management facilities also rose by one to 37.
The total number of people released from isolation was recorded at 1123, with the total number of people released reaching 16,074.
The department confirmed 5154 rapid antigen tests had been provided, up on the previous days total of 4950.
