Tasmania Police have reminded people to be safe and prepared on the water during the summer following two separate boating incidents on Sunday.
At 11.30am, police were alerted after an EPIRB was activated and provided an Opossum Bay location, but it was off by several miles.
A check on the owners phone narrowed the search to Margate, where the vessel was located. The EPIRB being set off was an accidental activation.
A separate incident at 12.15pm involved a person observing a vessel overturn at Bicheno.
The vessel was retrieving three divers from the water when it was hit by a wave and overturned.
The skipper of the vessel was wearing a PFD. When he was thrown into the water, he held on to the hull.
Police recovered the three men and another from Bicheno. All are expected to make a full recovery.
