The Hobart Chamber Orchestra will be joined by director and violin soloist Peter Tanfield to play Vivaldi, Bach and more. The event will be held at St John's Church, Launceston, with tickets available through trybooking.com. Adults are $25, students are $15, and concession card holders are $20.

2. Library Christmas
December 11, 10.30am-11am
Launceston Library will host Live at the Library: Christmas Fun in time for the holiday season. Ashely Eyles will be performing and telling Christmas stories. Parents, grandparents, carers and young ones are welcome. Attendees will be able to create their own tasty Christmas decoration to take home and hang on their tree. No bookings are required.
3. Harvest Market

Every Saturday the tasty Harvest Market takes over the Cimitiere Street parking area to share fresh food and produce. Discover a wide range of vendors and local brands to support.
4. Golden Apple
December 11, 8.28pm
One of Tasmania's biggest harness races, the Golden Apple Harness Race, takes place on Saturday night at the Invermay Racecourse following weeks of heats.
5. Clothing Market
December 11, 11am-2pm
The Behind Closed Drawers preloved clothing market event will be back at St Ailbe's Hall to offer handmade, vintage, upcycled and brand new clothes for all. It will be the last market of the year for the event. Entry is free.
6. Franklin House
December 12, 2pm
Franklin House is having Carols & Cake under the 180 year oak tree to fundraise and mark the Christmas period. The Tamar Valley Voices will be singing, and tasty fruit mince pies and Christmas cake will be on offer. Entry is $10 and bookings are essential for catering. 7. Street Eats
December 12, 11am-3pm
World Street Eats is a chance to taste cuisine from around the world in our very own backyard. The event is held at Civic Square and is free to enter. This week's event will include 12 different stallholders and Christmas crafts and activities for children. It is the last market for 2021.
8. Art Expo
December 8-13
The winners of the 2021 Tasmanian Disability Festival Art Prize have been crowned. The 50 finalists' works will be displayed at Woolmers Estate's Frances Mary Archer Gallery in Longford from December 8 to 13 for public viewing, with the people's choice award winner to be announced on the final day.
