Initial reports that the fire was caused by "self-combusting avocados" were shut down by Tuesday afternoon as investigations continued into the cause.
Crews were first called when an alert was sent out about smoke, that Launceston Fire Brigade District Officer David Casteller said had be the result of items at the warehouse "smouldering for some time".
Mr Casteller confirmed the smouldering had caused some damage, which was thought to be about $4000.
But it was the work of the fire brigade to control the smouldering and avoid more significant damage to occur that Mr Casteller said was important to note.
He said the cause of the fire was still under investigation, but initial reports believed it to have been accidental.
