Despite the sunshine and rainbows, Kings Meadows took the visiting Deloraine indoors and proceeded to win in convincing fashion.
Aaron Page's rink was the big winner of the day with a 23-shot margin over Shaun Donohue.
Judy Gurr was rock solid as lead for Page who's entire rink was on song. Josh Appleyard and Rohan Donohue had a tight tussle with Donohue nearly running home late but Appleyard keeping his unbeaten run going with an eventual four-shot margin.
Shane Davern and The Big Show, Corey Bowerman, had a five-hour marathon and eventually finished with a 23-all draw with Bowerman and Dylan Samphier playing well for the visitors.
Invermay travelled to Trevallyn who were coming off an important win against East Launceston.
In a game that left much to be desired it was the visitors who walked away victorious.
World champion Bec Van Asch set the tone for the visitors as her rink jumped out to an early 14-1 lead over Scott Summers.
Despite a comeback during the middle stages, the margin remained much the same as Van Asch's conversion shots resulted in a final margin of 10.
Gene Ayton's rink nearly doubled the damage as they defeated Lachie Sims by nine.
Shane Boden played several important bowls throughout the match which on top of the efforts from Maureen Zoon, Peter Zoon and skip Ayton, was enough to do the damage.
Trevallyn salvaged a lone point as Michael Sims and Dennis Bassett played out an 18-all draw.
Bassett played two superb bowls on the final end to hold three shots - enough for the rink draw. Sims played weight to disturb the head but no change was made in the result.
Cosgrove Park hosted ladder leaders Longford, with the visitors proving far too good.
Mark Strochnetter's rink continued on their dominant ways, this time with a 24-shot win over Robert Krushka. Daniel Baker extended the margin by a further 11 in his rinks efforts against Kane Walker.
Jarrod Howard snuck home by two shots over David Murfet to seal the all-rinks win.
Rob Antel was captain of the Launceston ship this week and steered it to a monster win over Beauty Point.
Antel's rink \walked away with their heads held high following their 41-13 drubbing of Adrian Brown.
Tony Shea extended the margin beyond reach with a 27-14 scoreline over Paul Filgate. Bruce Howard was the one shining light for Beauty Point who managed to defeat Kevin McLean in the battle of yesteryear by 10 shots.
In the closest game of the round, cellar dwellers Bridport put up a gallant effort on home soil against East Launceston.
Bridport Mayor Chris Walker led the charge as his rink defeated David Minns by seven in a high-scoring affair.
Eddie Walker squared off against former teammate, Mitch Billing, and succumbed by eight shots - a great result by Billing who was making his first skipping appearance of the season.
Maxine Monson was required to win by two or more to pinch the overall victory for East Launceston but unfortunately for her and the team would end up drawing with Drew Berwick.
Bowlers ran through respective recovery procedures, typically completed at their respective club's bars, in preparation for the regional pairs championships to be staged between North Launceston and Kings Meadows bowls clubs on Sunday.
