The event is being run through a partnership between NTDC and the Local Jobs Program, which is funded by the Australian Government Department of Education, Skills and Employment.
The event will allow attendees to meet "job matching experts" such as Local Jobs Program and DESE employment facilitator James McCormack, NTDC population program manager Edward Obi, as well as Local Jobs Program and DESE support officers Taz Devadass and Emilee Freeman.
Speakers will cover a range of topics including the importance of the hidden job market, cross-cultural communications in Australian workplaces, building confidence to speak about yourself and how to take action to find job opportunities.
The event is the first of a three-part series and will be held at Launceston's Silos Hotel on Tuesday, December 7 from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.
