Co-owner Jacquelyne France-Marsden chose Ballet Shoes, based on Noel Streatfeild's classic children's novel, for the 2021 show.
"I always choose something that is not mainstream. I am a keen reader of books too," she said. "I thought it was appropriate. It's a heartfelt story as well, nice and warm and feel good for the end of the year."
The end-of-year show is the highlight for students who attend the school, with all the students able to perform together on stage regardless of age.
This year, the show also celebrates the graduation of five of the school's students, with some off to study ballet full-time and others off to study other fields.
"It's special because we have such a large graduation cohort this year," Ms France-Marsden said.
The show will be staged December 10 and 11 at the Princess Theatre. Tickets can be purchased on the Theatre North website.
