With his side dismissed for 68 after bowling Perth out for 115 last week, Whiteley is seeking improvement.

"Training has been a lot better this week, there's an understanding in the group that improvement needs to come across the board and I'm looking forward to seeing that under match conditions," he said.

Bracknell come into the clash following the week off, having been dismissed for 56 the week before.

Coach Brad Fryett admitted that not scoring enough runs had become a trend over the past few games and is hopeful of some strong early partnerships as the Stags welcome debutants Evan Lawrence and Ewan Innes.

"I think we will enjoy playing Trevallyn, it should be a fast ground so it should suit us," Fryett said.

"We just need to keep playing like we have the last two weeks and keep bowling like we have," he said.

"If we bat like we did against Trevallyn, I'm pretty confident we can get away with a win."

The form of Evandale hasn't escaped the eyes of Tigers coach Josh Adams, whose side had a strong all-round performance themselves last week.

"Evandale are travelling alright, they knocked off Trevallyn a couple of weeks ago, so we are expecting a tough game on their home ground."

"It's a game that we would like to win because it will probably put us a game clear in third and that's what we are trying to do, consolidate our position in the top four before Christmas," coach Mat Devlin said.

"Obviously last year we had to basically win every game to make the top four so we want to make a positive start before Christmas."

ACL skipper Nashib Nisthar described last week's performance, which saw them bowled out for 69, as "not up to standard".

"We've got to definitely put our heads down and bat longer," he said.

"Perth is a team that we think we will be able to give a good fight against, so we will try our best and we definitely need a win so we finish before Christmas strongly."

Reigning premiers Hadspen look to go one step closer to reaching the Christmas break undefeated as they host Legana.

Chieftains coach Liam Reynolds is hoping his side doesn't lose wickets in clumps, with 184 of last week's 225 coming from just three batters - Dane Anderson, Reynolds and young gun Zac Reissig.

"They are a bit of an unknown but we are just looking to continue a bit of form and play a really good brand of cricket, which we are trying to achieve week in, week out."

"We've been competitive in most games, so we just look to be competitive and give them a red-hot crack," captain Dylan Sharman said.
