Retaining 12 of his 16 core players from last year, Boyack is looking for at least a couple of big names to steer his side in the right direction.
"The girls are keen, the ones that we've retained are the ones that we want because they are our main core and they are bringing new players all of the time," he said.
"We are hoping to get our name out there to say 'Longford are a side now, we are not going anywhere'.
"Set yourself a challenge, if you want to have a crack, you can go and play with one of the better sides ... or you could come out to Longford and set yourself a challenge, set yourself to become a good player and bring a side up with you."
The Tigers' first season saw them unable to secure a maiden victory, finishing the year in 12th, while kicking 40 points for the year.
In a positive sign for the group, they had 11 players take the field for nine or more games.
"The year started off hard because of numbers and stuff and as the year went on, we played a couple of sides that knocked us about a bit, which showed the bread-winners of the families that they can get injured, so we lost half a dozen players again and we had to rebuild," Boyack said.
Promoting a fun footy culture, which spreads to the club's under-17s pathway coming through, Boyack praised the build of Meander Valley as he hopes to tick off the side's maiden win this season.
"As you've seen building through the years of the NTFAW, Meander struggled for a few years and now they've got a name, they've built themselves a great culture and now they are getting their numbers and a bit of success is coming their way," he said.
"A couple of wins would be great this year, it's what we would be aiming for, to get a win on the board because a win creates a bit of interest as well. If we go through the year getting flogged, it's hard to create that interest to bring people along with you."
