Launceston Triathlon Club's second race of the 2021-2022 season takes place on Saturday at Beauty Point.
The day starts with the TryStars race at 10.15am, followed by the teams event at 11.15am.
There will be spot prizes, a barbecue and presentations will be held at 12.45pm.
Following on from the success of the teams event format at the Olympics, the club is excited to present this type of event for the first time in Tasmania.
Each member of a team completes a 'mini' triathlon before tagging their next team member to complete their triathlon.
The TryStars will complete a 100-metre swim, 2.5km ride and 1.2km run while the teams will compete over a 300m swim, 6km ride and 1.5km run.
Online entry is available and encouraged. This will close at 8am on Saturday.
