A triple zero call received in the early hours of Thursday morning detailing what ended up as a bloody murder scene came from the teenage child of a stabbing victim.

It was not until a short time after the call came through that Tasmania Police attended a residence at 36 Prossers Forest Road, but within hours the house was declared a murder scene and a man hunt was under way.
When police arrived they found a man in his 30s dead from stab wounds and another woman in her 30s critically injured.
Another man, who police say was known to the victims, was thought to be the offender, and a search for him using the full force of Tasmania Police including the Westpac Rescue Helicopter and the police drone.
And it was not until the morning that nearby residents learnt of the horror that had unfolded, in many instances just metres away, through the night before.
Northern District Detective Inspector Mel Groves made a plea to the man on the run to give himself up.
"We would like you to hand yourself in. We want a safe resolution in relation to this," she said.
Detective Inspector Groves remained tight-lipped about many of the details of the investigation including the relationship between the people involved, and the relationship of the elusive man to the teenagers.
"What I can tell you, though, is that all the parties are known to each other," she said.
Detective Inspector Groves also did not reveal any details about what the motive for the alleged murder may have been while investigations continued.
The teenage children were unharmed physically in what unfolded on Thursday morning, but were inside the home at the time of the alleged murder.
Detective Inspector Groves said there was no doubt the "shocking incident" they had witnessed had caused "significant distress".
She said ongoing support would be provided to them as they came to terms with what had happened in their family home.
Meanwhile, Detective Inspector Groves reiterated an earlier police message that the murder suspect was not believed to be a risk to the wider community.
But more than 13 hours after the triple-zero call came in the man remained at large and the weapon he allegedly used to stab the victims, thought to be a knife, had not yet been found.
