The man police say is allegedly responsible for this morning's Ravenswood murder remains at large in the community.
Tasmania Police revealed they had enlisted the help of the Westpac Rescue Helicopter which had been deployed some time before 11.30am.
Flight radar showed the helicopter had initially concentrated its search in the Newnham and Rocherlea areas before heading to Waverley and spending time searching the Carr Villa cemetery.
About one-and-a-half-hours later the helicopter was circling areas near Hollybank Forest and Pipers River Forest Reserve.

The alleged incident occurred about 3.30 this morning and police were called to the scene shortly after.
When they arrived they found a man dead at the scene on Prossers Forest Road and a woman in her 30s critically wounded.
The woman remained in the Launceston General Hospital in a critical condition.
Two teenagers were located at the Ravenswood home, which was understood to be a government housing property, but had not sustained any physical injuries.
A police spokesperson said the alleged offender was known to the victims.
