A jury in a Supreme Court trial was sent away without hearing any evidence when woman changed her plea in Launceston.
Janelle Maree McConnon, 45, of Invermay, initially entered a not guilty plea to trafficking in methylamphetamine in last year and a jury was sworn in.
However, defence counsel Evan Hughes told Justice Robert Pearce early on Thursday that McConnon had instructed him to change her plea to one of guilty.
McConnon trafficked ice between March 17 and June 1, 2020.
Mr Hughes said he and Crown prosecutor Peter Sherriff would discuss aspects of the Crown facts before a sentencing hearing on November 26 at 10am.
