Launceston's Bailey Groves was selected for three different disciplines in the Australian shooting team for the 2021 Oceania Championships.
Although the championships were cancelled by the Oceania Shooting Federation in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Shooting Australia opted to complete its selection series in support of athletes continuing to access domestic competition.
A team of 27 shooters has been announced, comprised of 12 shotgun, eight pistol and seven rifle athletes, and includes 14 of the 15 who competed at the Tokyo Olympic Games.
Groves, who is now based in Western Australia, was selected alongside Daniel Repacholi in both the 50-metre and 10m air pistol division and will also contest the 25m rapid fire pistol alongside Sergei Evglevski and Thomas Ashmore.
Shooting Australia said it will work with the OSF in the planning and delivery of the next Oceania Championships with the date and location yet to be confirmed.
