Event creator, Vibestown, announced on Monday that one of Australia's biggest dance acts, Aria Award winner Pnau, would perform at the two-day, non-camping music and arts festival.

Set to join them are Sydney dance music veterans, Sneaky Sound System, and recently-crowned 2021 J Award winner Jaguar Jonze.

Tasmanian favourite Medhanit are now also scheduled to appear, as well as one lucky, local triple j Unearthed act, who are yet to be announced, with the official competition set to open for the state's budding young Tasmanian musicians on November 23.

The announcement wasn't all good news though, as it was revealed four acts from the original lineup would no longer be able to make it to Churchill Park for the festival's new dates.

Event organisers said they were sad to see Methyl Ethel, Sly Withers, Teenage Joans and Noah Dillon pull out, but planned to have them back at their next available opportunity.

However, the event's Artistic Director, Jesse Higgs, was focussed on the positives and said he was thrilled with the new additions.

"We're stoked, considering the tight turnaround, and couldn't be happier to include national dance headliner Pnau, who we've been after for a few years now, and crowd-party favourite Sneaky Sound System," he said.

"Jaguar Jonze is a super relevant act and will be sure to impress, and Medhanit is someone who we are really proud to see continue to grow on the big stage."

Vibestown Director Ryan Limb believed the positives didn't end there, especially after Premier Peter Gutwein announced on Friday that restrictions on dancing and standing at events would be lifted as of December 6, as long as all patrons were vaccinated.

"Camp chairs are gone and dancing is back on the cards at festivals, and we can't wait to bring some of the biggest acts in the country to Tassie to celebrate," he said.

"We're excited to be the first major music festival to have dancing back on Tasmanian shores since early 2020 ... the new date means that borders will be open and everyone coming home to Tassie for Christmas can celebrate with friends, let loose and enjoy themselves after a tough few years."

Mr Limb encouraged all punters planning on attending any festivals over the summer, to get double vaccinated.

The event, which will be held over a two day period on December 27 and 28 will be capped at 5000 people.

Final tickets will be back on sale from 6pm on Monday, 22 November and refunds will be available for those who are unable to make the new dates.
