A wide range of genres including folk, blues, jazz, and funk, are expected to be on show in Evandale.
Verandah Music Festival co-ordinator Jeff McClintock said the idea for next weekend's event stemmed from last year's 10-week lockdown.
"A couple of local families decided to play music on their own verandahs to just lift the atmosphere of the town a little bit, so we did that for a couple of months and we ended up having so much fun that we decided to turn it into a festival," he said.
A list of Tasmanian folk and blues artists are scheduled to perform at the event on November 27-28.
Wynyard-based solo blues musician Chris Okunborsaid said that after 20 years of performing, she now cherry picked her shows.
"The flavour of this event made me think that I'd love to play at it," she said.
"It reminds me of the old festivals, which were really community based and very organic." Visit verandahmusicfestival.com.
