The Blues posted 4-95, largely thanks to the efforts of openers Emma Manix-Geeves (29) and Kate Sherriff (31) as Alice McLauchlan (2-9 off four) and Ellie Mathews (2-17) took the wickets.

Led by opener Amy Duggan's 16, 13 from Belinda Wegman and McLauchlan's patient 19, the Knights were cruising to victory with five wickets down and just 12 runs needed.

However, McLauchlan's departure sparked the loss of 5-8 including three ducks before victory was secured in the penultimate over with one wicket to spare.

The cool-headed Naomie O'Loughlin kept her nerve through the carnage to score nine not out off 10 balls and see her side home.

Sherriff (4-13) and Sophie Parkin (3-17) did the damage with the ball with all seven of their wickets clean bowled and Parkin adding a run-out for good measure.

LAUNCESTON rattled up another two wins at Devonport Oval.

An unbeaten 88 off 67 deliveries including 10 boundaries from Charlotte Layton was the standout performance as the Lions posted 2-166 against MOWBRAY with fellow opener Victoria Geale also recording 30.

Not done there, Layton then claimed excellent bowling figures of 4-5 as the Eagles made 5-69 in which Georgia Gillow absorbed nearly half the deliveries for her dogged nine not out.

Earlier in the day, Layton (20 not out) and Ianthe Boden (28 not out) saw the Lions to a rain-affected victory after DEVONPORT had scored 6-84 off 17.4 when Amy Pereira took 3-17.

Mowbray posted 7-67 off 18 overs to secure a draw with Ulverstone and it was a similar story of ther weather being the only winner as Devonport and WYNYARD eked out a rain-affected draw.

LATROBE (5-97) held on to win at home by four runs as SHEFFIELD (8-93) came up just short.

Meanwhile, Wynyard (2-125) were too good for ULVERSTONE (5-76).
