A man has been rescued, but another still missing after a dinghy trip in the state's south-east yesterday.
About 10.30pm, the man in his 30s was found by police about 1.6 kilometres from the shore of Norfolk Bay.
The man was taken to hospital for medical treatment after spending eight hours in the water.
A police spokesperson said the search continues this morning for the second man and the three-metre white plastic motorised dinghy.
The air and sea search began about 6pm on Thursday after the pair failed to return after departing Premaydena about 2pm.
Police said the boat was last seen upturned in an area north of Premaydena.
Anyone who has seen the boat has been asked to contact police on 131 444.
