It's been another difficult year that has seen tremendous change globally, and due to the COVID-19 response, a period that has fundamentally shifted Tasmania's tourism industry.

With a lot of grit, a long winter and some sheer determination, we're very happy to see our borders soon lifting again.

So welcome back!

Here at Travelways, we have always been focused on shining a light on the full breadth of Tasmania, and some of the little-known experiences dotted from top to tail.

We are also excited to see the Taste of Tasmania back in a brand new format, which adds a vibrancy to the Hobart waterfront at the end of every year.

Summer is one of the best times to visit Tasmania, when daylight hours extend well past 9pm and the weather offers both hot days and cool evenings. Undoubtedly, one of its highlights is the produce, so don't miss our guide to pick-your-own farms (page 13) where you can experience everything from berries to stone fruit.
