Launceston skipper Alistair Taylor made the most of the Greater Northern Raiders' day-one wash-out, winning Cricket North's player of round four.

Returning to the reigning premiers with the Raiders' first day called off, Taylor steered the Lions to victory against Sheffield with an unbeaten 100, hitting a four with the final ball of the 37th over before teammate Jackson Miller finished the job.

He also took a catch, combining with Dihan Cloete for the key wicket of Mountaineer Alex King.
Since the player of the round award was introduced in 2018-19, Taylor has been a prominent feature with this being his seventh win.
This sits him behind only South Launceston's Nathan Philip, who has won eight times - including one this season - while Riverside's Tom Garwood (five) rounds out the top three.
Other key round-four performances included Mowbray trio Evan Gulbis (3-29 and 45), Jacob Snare (63) and Luke Scott (52).
