Tasmania's East Coast Tourism Awards has put the spotlight on the state's best of the best.
Tourism and hospitality has undergone major changes and upheaval during the COVID-19 period.
"The East Coast has been identified as one of the most tourism-dependent regions in Australia and these awards recognise the dedication and professionalism of the hardworking tourism and hospitality operators in our region," said East Coast Tourism chief executive Rhonda Taylor.
Those who took out gold in their respective categories were Swansea Holiday Park for Accommodation - Caravan or Holiday Park, Sandpiper Ocean Cottages for Accommodation - Self Contained, Bayside Hotel St Helens for Accommodation - Standard, and Picnic Island for Accommodation - Deluxe.
Oyster Bay Tours took out the gold for Visitor Experience and Me & Mum's claimed the same spot but for the Food, Wine and Retail Award.
The gold Event of the Year went to Rockpool - Bicheno Lions Club, and the coveted 2021 East Coast Tasmania Tourism Awards - Individual Contribution Award went to Lester Donges.
There were plenty of silver and bronze winners also, with a large pool of finalists battling it out for the awards.
The winners were announced at a Celebration of Industry Dinner on October 30, at the Spring Bay Mill.
