Tasmania Police are pleading with the public to come forward with information about a near-miss in George Town last week.

Police said a motorcycle was observed travelling on the incorrect side of the road at the roundabout at Macquarie Street, Goulburn Street and East Tamar Highway at George Town on October 18 about 5.30am.
Officers investigating the incident said a white dual cab ute was entering the roundabout at the same time and was forced to take action to avoid a collision.
Police would like to speak to the utility driver and motorcycle rider.
