The phenomenon of the 'accidental celebrity' was the focus of Dr Fiona Reynolds' PhD dissertation, her popular podcast series of the same name and of an event this week.

Accidental Celebrity: Lindy Chamberlain-Creighton in conversation with Dr Fiona Reynolds was originally planned as part of the 2021 Tamar Valley Peace Festival, but border restrictions meant it had to be rescheduled.

Dr Reynolds said she was thrilled that Chamberlain-Creighton would now be able to attend the event in person and said she would be speaking about her own special connection to Tasmania.

"Lindy is really looking forward to coming, because it's been quite a while since she's been in Tassie," Dr Reynolds said.

The event will also allow audience members to ask Chamberlain-Creighton questions directly.

"I think that's a really interesting premise," Dr Reynolds said.

"I'm sure a lot of people will be thinking, 'what questions would I ask Lindy Chamberlain if I got the chance?'"

The event is being held at The Tramsheds, Invermay on October 28 at 5.30pm. Tickets are still available.
