Tasmanian Police have issued a community alert after reports of minor flooding on roads in Northern Tasmania.
Roads at Carrick, Birralee, Bridge North and Rosevale are all experiencing minor flooding and local councils are in the process of assessing and putting out warning signs.
The following roads are reported to be affected:
- Between Carrick and Bracknell on Oaks Road, Carrick.
- 15km North of Westbury - Birralee Road, Birralee.
- 300m from the intersection - Turkey Farm Road, Bridge North Road, Bridge North.
- 200m from the Rosevale Hall - Bridge North Road, Rosevale
Rainy conditions have also wrecked havoc on the WBBL's schedule of four Saturday matches in Launceston, with the first two games abandoned.
The BOM advises there is chance of thunderstorms later this afternoon and has issued a flood watch for the South Esk River, North Esk River, and Meander River.
Wet weather is expected until Tuesday.
