With 371 games of international experience between the seven visiting players interviewed, answers varied from on-field focuses to rest-day adventures.
Darcie Brown (Adelaide Strikers)
Five international matches (1 Test, 3 ODIs, 1 T20)
"Getting some more experience, I haven't played too much T20 cricket - I only started playing last year in the WBBL, so just some experience and having fun with some of the girls that we haven't really played much with yet."
Georgia Redmayne (Brisbane Heat)
2018-19 WNCL player of the year, current Australian squad member
"I love playing in Tassie, obviously I spent a few years down here myself so it's always nice to come back and to be playing in Launceston again.
"I've been hyping up the Gorge to a lot of my teammates, so I'll definitely be taking some of them there, especially the international girls, and we've already spent some time at some of the wineries in the Tamar Valley.
"I'm looking forward to a few rest days, I would love to get to Cradle Mountain but that might be a bit of a stretch but it's obviously a beautiful state and somewhere I obviously love spending time in."
Sophie Molineux (Melbourne Renegades)

"I heard there's a few wineries and breweries around here so we might have to chat to some locals later on to see."
Annabel Sutherland (Melbourne Stars)

"Similarly [to Georgia] I think it [Invermay Park] is a really nice oval and UTAS as well so we are just keen to play a few games here and spend a couple of weeks as a group."

"It's always nice to bring the WBBL to different places around the country.
"We missed out on that opportunity last year with it being played in Sydney in a hub so it's just really exciting to be out and about, playing in different conditions and getting exposure to different environments as well.
"There's a huge fan base for cricket around the country so it's great to get to places like Launceston."
Alyssa Healy (Sydney Sixers)

"Just being in Launceston. I haven't spent a lot of time here, we played here last WBBL when it came down here but we haven't actually spent a heap of time, so I'm really excited by the prospect of being able to wander around town, get to explore it a bit and see the sights.
"It's such a beautiful part of the world down here and we are so lucky that we've been able to start the WBBL in some beautiful places.
"Obviously I haven't played a game here at UTAS, so I'm looking forward to getting out there and playing as well."
Phoebe Litchfield (Sydney Thunder)
Made her WBBL debut at 16 - one of Australia's up-and-comers
"Like Alyssa said, it's such a beautiful place and we are very lucky to play here. I'm just keen to get around and once these masks come off, we can get out.
"Some of our teammates are keen golfers and we are staying at the Country Club so I think that's the first place we will go."
