The former North Launceston product is reportedly being looked at by the GWS Giants, who are keen to fill out their list with some AFL experience.
"The Giants are in the market for a group of players, they missed on Rory Lobb, they missed on Luke Bruest, they asked about Chad Wingard, they're keen on some bargain hunting as well, they've got a few players in this basket," Sam Edmund said on SEN.

Lockhart made his name in the AFL after being selected as a pre-season supplemental player by the Melbourne Demons in 2019.

Melbourne list manager Tim Lamb praised Lockhart's conduct and character during his time at the Demons when the delisting was announced.
Lockhart and retired defender Grant Birchall are the two Tasmanians to have dropped off AFL lists so far this season.
