A timeless tale of friendship, resilience and broken dreams is set to hit the stage with the Three River Theatre preparing for their production of John Steinbeck's classic Of Mice and Men to be performed at the Earl Arts Centre.

It's an exciting time for the company as the show was pushed back due to COVID, but President of Three River Theatre Cameron Hindrum, who also stars as Lennie, said its great that its going ahead.
"The big hiccups was that this was supposed to be happening 12 months ago as part of our 2020 season but was postponed so our director Stan Gottschalk has been planning this show for around two and a half years," Mr Hindrum said.
"It's finally coming to fruition which is lovely. Since we had auditions earlier in the year and going rehearsals its been going very smoothly which is great.
"It's absolutely faithful to the John Steinbeck script there is no twists or anything its the story that people have come to know and love."
The story of broken dreams and hardship is something that Mr Hindrum said could be applied to everyday life, making it timeless.
"What makes a classic a classic is that there are resonances with what is happening in the world at the moment. It's universal."
Of Mice and Men runs from November 10-14 at the Earl Arts Centre.
